Having grown up in Bethesda, Calum knows the mountains and climbs of North Wales like few others. Snowdonia is a very compact mountain area with easy access to some of Britain’s finest mountains and rock climbs. All the guiding Calum offers is tailored to the individuals, or groups needs, so if you’re interested in a classic hill walk, run or rock climb then please get in touch with Calum to discuss what you’d like to do. Calum is a qualified and insured mountain instructor and winter mountain leader.

Walking

Snowdonia is indisputably one of Britain’s finest areas for hill walking with some great summits and stunning low level circuits. Whether you’re interested in walking up Snowdon, or more esoteric peaks and circuits in Snowdonia, then please get in touch.

Mountain/Fell running

As a former Welsh international fell runner, Calum has lots of experience running in the hills and he still gets out as often as he can to keep fit and get into the mountains after a busy day. Snowdonia is an area well suited to fell running with many spectacular runs on a variety of different terrains, from easy trails to exciting scrambles. If you’re a fell runner, or aspiring to be one and would like to experience running in the Welsh hills then get in touch and Calum will tailor a day out to your needs.

The 14 Peaks

The 14 peaks is the classic mountain challenge of Snowdonia. The 14 peaks are the mountains above 3000ft in Wales linked together in one long day out in the hills. At approximately 26 miles in length over rugged terrain it is not a challenge to be underestimated as good mountain fitness and pacing pay dividends in a successful attempt. So if you’re interested in being guided on this grand day out as a walk or a run then get in touch with Calum for a quote.

Rock Climbing

North Wales is one of the most diverse rock climbing areas in the world. There are sea cliffs, mountain crags, quarries and boulders with over seven different rock types in a 60 mile area. With 14 different climbing guidebooks and different micro climates it’s almost always possible to find dry rock at any time of year. If you want to go single pitch climbing or bouldering at any level in North Wales then get in touch.
